The Lilac Fire has swept through northern San Diego County and many residents had no time to prepare. At the San Luis Rey Training Facility barns and structures were under fire, some horses died, but other’s were able to be set free. Trainer Cliff Sise told CBS 8 “off-hand” that between 10 and 15 horses died and others were injured. His figures could not immediately be confirmed. The fire was so quick that they tried to let out as many horses as they could.
10News.com reports that over 500 horses were set free at the facility. Please Share this on Facebook and Pray for all of the people and animals affected by these tragic Wildfires.
