They have a full line of supplements, but our very favorite is Grand Premium Plus. This is the most cost effective and comprehensive product we’ve found on the market today even without the savings it’s still a bundle less expensive than other products that don’t work as well. This is the same supplement all 3 of my boys are on from the 5 year old quarter horse to the 24 year old Arabian. “Good morning. Happy to share my experience with Grand Meadow’s. We use Grand Premium Plus — their comprehensive supplement product. I have 20 horses on it now at the barn. Pleasure/recreational horses are on the maintenance dose of a half scoop a day and show or competition horses are on the performance dose of one scoop daily. I do not have a need for other products since we are using the comprehensive supplement.. so I cannot speak to those.
I began comparing all inclusive supplements about 2 years ago in attempts to find a product that would be an all-in-one cost-effective supplement for client horses and for our own lesson and show horses. I had been using Platinum for a long time, and have also used SmartPak. When we started our farm 3 years ago, we switched to a self made combination of cosequin coupled with many other added supplements. When I did not see the results I was hoping for with my own approach… (Which turned out to actually be more costly and labor-intensive,) I tried the Adeptus complete for 60 days… however that did not seem to yield the results I was looking forward to during the trial and I still thought the cost was high. So I brought in Grand Meadow’s Premium Plus and put 6 horses on it for a trial period of 60 days. After a month we were having noticeably successful results and word spread through the barn and now we have the majority of the horses here receiving it daily.
Going into the trial, I was quite skeptical ( honestly felt like I was just throwing money away) but I saw remarkable improvement and every horse I placed on the supplement, especially among those horses that have a tendency to become stiff, arthritic or stocked up. I also saw improvement in body condition and coat on those horses who had not been on a comprehensive supplement. I even had a teenaged Arab go from noticeably lame to relatively sound. She was not able to get her left lead but after 30 days on the supplement she was able to pick it up consistently with a student Rider. In addition, my 16 year old Welsh lesson Pony started getting flying lead changes again in lessons and our 16 year old hunter who had sticky changes, now gets them cleanly. I recently added it to a client horse who was bucking with stifle or hock discomfort.. and now he’s back under saddle and doing pretty well. I also put a 17 hand Holsteiner on it who was hesitating a little at fences and now he is jumping with beautiful form. Anyway I genuinely have seen Improvement in each and every horse … which is rather remarkable.
We have seen no side effects and all the horses will eat the supplement willingly with or without grain. Switching to this product has decreased our supplement cost and is pretty easy to administer. Makes me look good as a trainer and then I know that all my bases are covered. Whereas we used to be mixing multiple additional supplements 2x daily, now it’s just one or two scoops that the owners do not have to bag … the only thing I will add now and again are electrolytes on warm competition days.”
