Two horse owners sued the AQHA today, claiming the AQHA’s ban on registering cloned horses is illegal and in violation of U.S. antitrust laws.  Both men own cloned Quarter Horses or offspring of cloned Quarter Horses that they feel should be registered by the association.  “Without exception, DNA tests confirm that the plaintiffs’ horses are quarter houses,” the suit said. “But for Rule 227 and the defendant’s unlawful enforcement of it, the horses that plaintiffs seek to register would be eligible for registration with the (AQHA).”  Stay tuned for more info.
