Horse OK After Fall During Orange Bowl
Florida State’s team rushed to the field, led by their Mascot Osceola and horse Renegade. Osceola was holding the traditional flaming torch when something spooked Renegade. They both ended up falling and Osceola was able to keep a hold of the spear, and other’s were there right away to catch Renegade.
Florida State Posted the following message on twitter:
We can confirm Renegade was not injured before the game.

Osceloa was able to mount right back up. I can’t imagine what it’s like to run on a field with so many things going on. It looks scarier than any horse event I’ve ever seen. I think it’s safe to say that Renegade is pretty amazing. This kind of shows you there’s no such thing as “bombproof”. Sometimes even the best horses have bad days.
