Kidnapping Survivor Starts Horse Therapy Program To Help Heal Others
Jaycee Dugard was kidnapped as an 11 year old and held captive for 18 years. With settlement money, Dugard started the JAYC Foundation to share the horse therapy that helped reunite her and her family. “They just provide a buffer in some cases,” she said. “I needed a chance to connect with my mom, but that wasn’t the easiest thing in the beginning. I hadn’t seen her for 18 years. Just having the horses, doing horse exercises, maybe just grooming together, and we’re talking.”
“If my story can inspire somebody to go back and maybe look a little bit deeper, I feel that we’ve done a good job,” she said. For more information visit the JAYC Foundation Website. Jaycee is an INSPIRATION! Share this on Facebook if you agree!
