What Type Of Stallion Would You Breed Your Mare To?
With breeding season fast approaching, it makes me wonder. What type of Stallion would you breed your mare to? I see so many ads for amazing horses that are specialized in one thing or another and it makes me wonder…are the days of breeding all around horses over?
Maybe it’s just people I know, but it seems everyone is going down a specific route (myself included). Today I saw a video of Saint Pats Cat – an APHA Homozygous stallion. It was him loping along perfectly while ponying a long weanling next to him. How many stallions have the mind to do that? What are the qualities you look for when choosing a stallion to breed your mare to?
