90-year-old Cowgirl Rides A Horse For The First Time In 20 Years

Helen Smith has always been a cowgirl, but at nearly 91 years of age, she hasn’t been in the saddle for over 20 years. Her wish was to ride a horse again. On Jan. 24, 2018 her wish came true!  She got to saddle up once again thanks to Wish of a Lifetime, Brookdale Senior Living and Hoofbeats To Healing.

I think the best part was watching her interact with the horse and seeing how much she just loved being there with him.  I’m so glad she had the opportunity to ride again and I hope her wish of finding an old cowboy that buys her a horse comes true!  Share this on Facebook if you do too!
