Victor Espinoza Hospitalized After Horse Collapses and Dies

Hall Of Fame Jockey, Victor Espinoza was riding Bobby Abu Dhabi at the Del Mar Racetrack when the horse collapsed and died.  Racetrack officials report, Bobby Abu Dhabi appears to have suffered a fatal heart attack during training for the Bing Crosby stakes next Saturday.  Espinoza reportedly laid motionless for a few minutes before being fitted for a neck brace and taken to the hospital.  Agent Brian Beach said Espinoza had a fractured vertebra in his neck and a “stinger” to the left shoulder and arm.  He is expected to make a full recovery.
