We’ve see plenty of extravagant trail courses, but this is the most extravagant jumping exercise we’ve come across! Here is a great training video from John Marti working with Tamara Schneider and the stallion Quinton TS.
These exercises consist of poles and cavaletti on the ground. The horse and rider are working a series of circles, serpentine’s, diagonals and straight lines. This helps teach the horse and rider to be light, responsive, and where the distances. It also teaches obedience, strength, and reflexes. These exercises would be great for dressage horses, jumping horses and even your barrel horses. Honestly, any horse and rider combination would benefit from this!
