The Riderless Horse

The Riderless horse is one of the oldest military traditions. In a full honor funeral, there is a single horse led behind the precession. The horse is without a rider, there is an empty saddle on the horse and boots reversed in the stirrups. The warrior will never ride again. It’s Memorial Day and as wonderful as it is to have an extra day off to spend with family and friends, it’s important that we all remember what this day is actually for. Please join us this Memorial Day and remember and honor the heroes we have lost and the families they have left behind.
