These Are The Exercises That Will Improve Your Riding!

John Marti has posted a video from his Progressive Training series and we have to say this exercise looks like FUN! Doing exercises like this can improve your riding as well as your horses performance in so many different ways.

Exercises like this teach obedience, balance, and strength by using poles on the ground and cavaletti. The poles are set up to create one stride distances and even bounces. If you’re horse has a hard time figuring out where his feet are, exercises like this can definitely help. Even if you just stick to poles on the ground, it can improve your horse and help you feel the striding.

One of my favorite things in the world is creating grids to ride with my horse. It doesn’t matter if you ride English or Western, this is something everyone can do!
